Project Foreman

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Maintains compliance with all OSHA, Carlton Electric, and customer safety requirements and company


  1. Uses skills and knowledge required to be a successful electrician.
  1. Completes work with a focus on safety, quality, and a sense of urgency.
  1. Performs and delegates skilled laboring duties related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of a

                 wide variety of electrical systems and equipment.

  1. Supervises, mentors, and trains all levels of apprentices and journeymen.
  1. Performs and delegates planning and layout.
  1. Conducts weekly toolbox talks and safety inspections.
  1. Completes required paperwork and processes, including time sheets, daily logs, 3-week look ahead

                 planner, time tracker, etc.…

  1. Demonstrates goal setting and tracks performance of tasks.
  1. Understands site logistics and planning for efficiency.
  1. Coordinates with general contractors.
  1. Coordinates with sub-contractors.
  1. Coordinates with vendors.
  1. Coordinates with other trades.
  1. Uses various hand tools, site tools and safety equipment as needed on the job site.
  1. Maintain tools and equipment and keep parts and supplies in order.
  1. Uses working understanding of blueprints for layout and coordination.
  1. Uses knowledge of circuitry and electrical theory to communicate to contactors, owners,

                 design teams, sub-ordinates, and other trades.

  1. Uses knowledge of the national electrical code to communicate to contactors, owners, design

                 teams, sub-ordinates, and other trades.

  1. Displays a working knowledge of multiple lighting control systems.
  1. Displays a working knowledge of fire alarm systems.
  1. Dig trenches for running underground electrical systems.
  1. Performs wire and cable pulls.
  1. Troubleshoot electrical issues with wiring and equipment.
  1. Plans for and coordinates material handling duties on the jobsite.
  1. Performs other related duties as required and assigned.


Must have a valid driver's license

Must be able to work under all weather conditions

Colorado Journeyman Wireman license or equivalent is required

Mechanical/technical aptitude and a passion for working with your hands

Demonstrate focus on safety, quality, and goal attainment

Must be able to clearly communicate verbally and through multiple forms of media

Must be able to mentor and train all levels of apprentices

Must be able to pass a background check

Must be able to pass a drug screen

Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs.

Must be OSHA 30 Certified.
