Since 1993, Carlton Electric has been shaped and led by a team of humble leaders and passionate visionaries. Our leadership team has played a pivotal role in developing a company culture that's centered around the values of safety, integrity, and excellence.
Drawing upon their years of technical knowledge and expertise, they serve as mentors and teachers to our amazing electricians who make up the next generation of leaders at Carlton Electric. Through their leadership, they have helped Carlton Electric become one of the leading commercial electrical contractors in the state of Colorado.

Meet the Team
Carl has been with Carlton Electric since our founding and was once our star ditch digger. Now, as President, he works closely with his Vice President and shareholders to set goals and maintain the company's vision. He also oversees the finance, special projects, and service departments. Carl and his service team specialize in gasoline/diesel, propane and CNG fuel systems wiring and controls, refrigeration systems, and fire alarm and suppression systems. His life and leadership actions stem from the philosophy of continued learning and humility. Carl is a licensed Master Electrician, a graduate of the US Navy A and C school, as well as IECRM 4-year apprentice school. When he's not working you can usually find him with his wife, two kids, and pack of hound dogs out on the hiking trails or fishing somewhere across the state.
Succeeding his father, Tyler has played a supportive role with Carlton Electric even before he formally started at the company. Now as Vice President, he leads the charge in driving growth, change, innovation and vision for the company as well as overseeing the Construction Operations Team and multiple medium to large construction projects. Tyler is fueled by providing service to others, including employees, customers, team members, and the surrounding community. He graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in Finance and Construction Management, as well as graduating from the Purdue Project Management Institute and obtaining his Journeyman Electrician license. When he's not at work you can usually find Tyler snowboarding, fishing, or adventuring outside with his wife and two brown dogs.
Director of Preconstruction
Ben's role at Carlton Electric includes accurately identifying job costs for individual projects, leading the transition process from estimating to construction, and creating and maintaining relationships with general contractors and vendors. He obtained his Journeyman Electrician license at the age of 22, and has since gained more than 13 years of electrical experience. Ben is a 4-year IECRM and Purdue Project Management Institute graduate, is certified in OSHA 30 and Denver Fire Alarm Systems and is a licensed Journeyman Electrician. Ben is fueled by his strong beliefs in family, honesty, and passion, and he strives for excellence in everyday tasks from home to the office. Outside of work, Ben can usually be found on the golf course, with his wife and two kids on the motocross track or enjoying an ice-cold beer around a campfire.
Director of Field Operations
As the Director of Field Operations at Carlton Electric, Dustin is responsible for leading, training, managing, and organizing our field operations. Driven by passion, purpose, honesty, and realism, Dustin maintains an active pulse on our field crews, keeping the heart of the company pumping. Dustin is certified as an OSHA 30 Competent Person, has graduated from the IEC/ABC Project Management Institute, is a licensed Master Electrician, and is certified in Denver and Boulder Colorado fire alarm systems. When he's not working, you can usually find Dustin in the stands at one of his daughters' sporting events, serving as Faithful Captain of the Knights of Columbus, or spending time outdoors with his wife and kids.
Service Project Manager
Kevin's role at Carlton Electric includes managing a team of electricians, creating content for and training employees on fire alarm installation, handling apprenticeship school relations and admissions, and using creativity and lateral movements to help resolve challenges on projects. Kevin finds great pride in growing and maintaining relationships with employees and industry partners to effectively create repeat business for the company. Kevin is a licensed Journeyman Electrician, certified in fire alarm installation for Denver and Colorado Springs, has obtained his NICET Level 3 fire alarm certification, and is a Purdue Project Management Institute graduate. Outside of work, Kevin can typically be found with his wife and two kids on a camping trip or relaxing at home.
